Teacher News 2/1/08

It didn’t really seem possible that we’d have a snow day so soon after so much mild weather – I could hear the sand/salt truck out at 5:45 however and wondered!  We’re missing our third session with Helen, our Project 4 – Hangar Theatre professional, and of course the day to hand in weekly homework.

Next Tuesday there is no school for 3rd – 8th graders because all the teachers and staff will be at Boynton scoring the NYS ELA.  I’d much rather be in school!

Next Thursday morning, Betsy Darlington will be teaching her owl pellet lesson.

The Jamestown big book pages are nearly all completed, and are displayed in the hallway outside our room.  We have started learning about the other early successful English colony in the “New World” – Plymouth.

We have a new student, Jintana.  She comes to us from an English speaking school in Beijing, China.
